Junk Food

There is something Dali-esque about Junk Food. Not least because it features a large, red sofa, reminiscent of Dali's famous lips-shaped two-seater. And, like those lips, this sofa is both seductive and kind of frightening. The sofa is the star of the show – and rarely can even a furniture warehouse telly advert claim that.

A guy stops off at a neighbourhood wasteland to dump an old TV. It's littered with odds and sods; an old mannequin, a mattress. And that sofa. The sofa starts waggling its arms. The mannequin comes alive. And the man is strung up by a length of cable. It seems the sofa is hungry.

There's little else to say about Junk Food, except it's a neat idea and fairly well executed. And, for something as short as it is, it's as unassuming and entertaining as you could possibly wish for.
